tps reading

i pulled the codes from my 88 f-150, 2 was for egr, and 1 was for tps. replaced egr sensor and cleaned the egr valve. now i know from my 87 mustang the tps is adjusted anywhere from 0.98 - 1.0 volts. but on my volt meter i have the needle sweep kind. and i dont know where to read it at. 3 lines for d.c, 1st line reads 0-10 in increments of 2, the 2nd line is 0-50 in increments of 10, 3rd is 0-250 in increments of 25. where is the correct voltage to read at? hope im not confusing anyone. i guess i need to get a digital one also. oh, v.m is set at 2.5 dcv.i appreciate the help,i have a surging idle like a vaccume leak but was running good until i replaced the radiator and t- stat, then started running crappy. thats when i checked the codes.

I'd sell that thing on ebay and get some money for it. Other than that, an analog meter comes in handy some times. You'll need the 0-10 scale. Measured in increment of 2 volts for each line.

I had to ream the holes on the TPI to get the right numbers.
