Fuel Tank Selector Switch
The previous owner of my '85 F-250 had a third-party install a non-OEM rear auxillary fuel tank, which resulted in an aftermarket toggle switch underneath the dash. For some strange reason, instead of tying into the circuit on the fusebox labeled "aux. fuel solenoid" (fuse #15), they simply used a male blade connector to connect the wire coming from the switch to the power door lock fuse socket (with an in-line fuse) (I don't have power door locks, so I figure it was simply an available circuit for them to use). Anyway, I am wanting to redo the wiring for the fuel tank selector switch, so it connects to the circuit that was meant to go to (#15). I know the OEM location for the switch is in with the climate controls, so I'm hoping there's already the appropriate wiring in place...all I should have to do is move the wire, right? Can someone tell me what color wire I should be looking for?
Any help is appreciated.
