OK, The part # on the spring is FTS278d. The springs are installed according to the instructions, with the double wrapped end towards the front of the vehicle. The measurement from the top of the axle tube to the bottom of the frame rail on the passenger side of the vehicle is 16.125". The springs lifted my front end exactly 8" from stock. I took a lot of measurements before and after. I will check with Fabtech to make sure I got the right springs.

I verified that the springs are correct through Fabtechs website. It lists the springs as FTS278, which matches my part# except for the "d" on the end. (I am assuming that the "d" stands for diesel).
UPDATE:
I installed the new shackles from ORU that DCSpecial recommended. They eliminated the problem of the shackle crossbar hitting the frame, but now the spring hits the frame just like 02superstroker said. So I finally called Fabtech, (apparently they never got my email) and created some sort of technical query. They called me back within 6 hours and told me that the springs were not manufactured according to specs and they are building replacments as we speak. They have been apologetic so far and have said they will pay for the labor to swap out the springs. I am not upset with them because I understand that everybody makes mistakes, but how you correct those mistakes shows what type of company (or person) you are. I will wait and see.
I had the same problem with my old toyota. They were superlift springs that were too long. Superlift offered me a new set but they didn't pay for the labor. Sounds like fabtech is stepping up to the plate. Glad to see they still care. I used to have a machine shop across the street from them when they only made 2wd toyota stuff.
UPDATE: It's official, Fabtech recalled the defective springs. They are currently manufacturing springs that are the correct length. They are willing to pay a maximum of 3 hours @ $65.00 per hour to swap the springs when I get them. It sounds reasonable to me, as long as it works out like they are saying it will.
