Of course I never heard of Tymar until I came here. I put a MAC cold air intake on my truck before I learned about Tymar, but it seems that the Tymar style is the preferred choice of most of you guys. Here is my question, would my application benefit with the fresh air hose install along with my MAC intake? Thanks for your help guys!
Anything that makes less restriction will help your airflow. If that means a one peice smooth0inside tube then yes it will "help". Will this new tube help dramatecilly over the stock one?- You be the judge.
Actually o2, I was referring to the fresh air tube that runs from just inside the grill of the truck piping fresh air to the filter. If so, what kind of tubing is that, to me it looked like the stuff you use to hook your dryer up to the wall....
It is dryer vent hose...
he's just trying to get "cooler" air into the intake rather than sucking it all in from the hot motor compartment...
cooler air = denser air and therefore, theoretically, faster burn rate and power...
so yes, it may help some... won't hurt... unless the dealership says "What the hey is htis ?"
