I saw your truck sittin at 167th and antioch and was just curious what they are doin to that intersection. I live at 167th and Switzer and drive down that road all the time.
We are making turn lanes and exceration lanes to help traffic flow for the school. After we get the widening done.. We will overlay it on Saturday this weekend. Just a note Antioch will be closed on Saturday to all traffic so you might let you family know.... I am the lead roller man . The roller closest to the paver. Tomarrow we will be on the North Intersection from the school. Come on by say hello.... Sorry about any inconvienence till we get done....
It reminds me of when David Letterman used to Run over different stuff with a steam roller. What's the coolist thing you've run over with your roller Jeff? Also reminds me back when I was younger. We used to have a lead roller in our group!
I am so glad you brought that upÉ One day along time ago in Mo. land, working for Bowen Const. Asphalt crew, I was lost, wondering around looking for the paver.. Note: i am operating a 12 ton Class A Compaction roller,(1 Bad ****). I come accross a squirrel that had been ran over by a vehicle and its *** end was flattened to the ground. So the poor squirrel still alive is stuck to the road... I saw an oppertunity and i took it. I slowed way down to a craw turn the drum vibrates on max and rolled over the poor dumb Squerrel. I was expecting at least a small bump, there was nothing. I look down at the drum, low and behold a blood spot then the pelt, & finally the flattened bones took turns cicleing the drum. I 100% deboned the critter, Was so damn kewl.....
Oh and there is another time, The older guy near 60 got his very first cell phone for birthday or something, He got it two days before, showed up at worked showed every one and look proud. HE was standing on the side of my roller before we started and must have dropped the phone under my roller... No acidents hugh! The drum had mud from the over night parking in the grass so i turned the vibraters on and rolled frwd and back to clean the mud off 4-5 times each time on the phone. 20 or so minutes later He comes by the roller, looking around then asks if i ve seen his phone. Of course i said no. He bends over and picks it up. He has no more cell phone...We both laughed he is a great friend...
