Is there a procedure in the owners manual on switching tanks, like, only while idling or anything like that. I don't have an owner's manual. When I switch tanks I have to be idling because the tank that I switch to acts like it's not primed and I get a back fire or miss. This morning I switched from the front to back and it wouldn't clear up so I switched back to the front. About a mile from work I switched back to the back and did fine but I have to let off the gas for a minute, then get back on the gas. Normal??
I would check the fuel pressure on the injector rail while selected on the front tank, then switch to rear. If there's a large difference, then I would suspect the rear FDM(FuelDeliveryModule) in the rear tank is defective.
