I took my truck to a shop a month ago because my speedometer and obdometer stopped working. Since then it has gotten a new speed sensor in the rear end, sensor in transmission, pcm, and most recently a new hybrid gage cluster. Up until the new gauge cluster was put in the truck would start but the speedo still wouldn't work. We ordered the cluster had ford set it up and then we put it in. After several grueling hours of putting the dash and engine compartment back together we tried to start it. Now the fuel pump won't kick on. We hooked a scanner to it and reads the keys but the pcm says that something doesn't match in the hybrid cluster therefore kicking in the anti-theft not letting the fuel pump kick in. Does anyone know anything about this
Well good news and bad news. We got the truck running this morning however the original problem is still here. The codes that we are getting now are B2139 and U1147. Which mean pcm id mismatch between pcm and hec and scp invalid or missing data for vehicle security. What this has to do with speed is beyond me. We are also getting a po500 no vss signal fault. We have not replaced the gem module or the rap module and are in the process of checking this out now. There is a light blue and white stripe wire going to the rcm that is discolored. Upon checking the ohms from s229 to connector c208 reads with in spec "5" ohm. However we can communicate with it fine.
