Power Wire

I have my RF system all hooked up and it flat out rocks. I have the radio wired straight to the battery because I"m having trouble finding a place to hook it up to the fuse box so it only comes on with the key. Right now it stays on all the time and I have to remove the face to turn it off. Any suggestions on a good location??

What happened to your original wire harness for the radio? That would be the easiest place to get your ign. controled power.

I have looked all over and have not been able to purchase an adapter for it. But yes, that would be the easiest way..

What are you driving? Crutchfield has pretty much all the adapters there are.

2002 CC PSD 4x4. That's a good idea. I did not think about crutchfield. I'll giv'em a try. Thanks..........

Dont think ford has changed much in the way the radio harness is done, Try wally world, look for a ford harness, should be a grey connector and a black, grey is power, black is the speakers, or vice versa. Anyway, my 97 harness is the same that fits my 99. Looks identical to my dads 91 as well. Try it, if it doesn't work, take it back.
