Shudders on hard pull
I have a 1997 Ranger that had a lean problem on side two. Had the upper and lower manifold gaskets replaced. It now idles real good and the p1151 code no longer shows. Now I am noticing a strange hard jerk when in lockup and some times when I am pulling out. Almost seems like a miss fire. No computer codes are showing up on the AutoTap. Going to run it for a few days and see what goes. 128K on the truck, had the trans fluid and filter changed at 90K. No weird smells or odd color to the fluid. Any ideas ?? If your are seeing lean codes on side two, ask your Ford dealer about the TSB on the intake for 4.0 L engines.

It is a automatic, 4 spd with lockup tranny or what they call OD.
It has 4WD but this is in 2 WD on the highway. Seems worse
after a long drive say 50 miles or so at 65 MPH, or a long hard
pull over a mountian road.
