To all that tried, the gpr is control activated by the glow plug controller(another relay). It supplies the ground, when activated for the gpr control wiring. I was showing 12v to ground on both control wires (to the gpr) because of the backfeed from the open circuit of the bad glow plug controller. They are close to identical and are right next to each other on my 99 7.3. Hope some else besides me can understand my interpretation of the problem. A good pair of insulated channel locks saved the day untill I got this fiquered out. Thanks to all for all the great info on this board,
