no full power
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 28-Nov-02 AT 09:44 PM (EST)]i had an occasion one day last week where i could not get full power for about three miles (the truck was warmed up). it was acting as if the "chip" was holding it back as if the engine wasn't warmed up. it also will surge in RPM shortly after starting at idle. i assume that some component is about to go. any advise guys?

On rare ocasion during very cold weather my 95 has done this. Once I killed the engine and started it back up to correct the problem if it were actually a problem. This happened In Co. Once to me several years ago and a couple times here at home over the past few years.

Mine does soemthing similar to what u have. When it is cold out, i sometimes cant get it over 2000 RPM but after it warms up, it takes off. It just acts like something doesnt want to move when it is cold like we do in the mornings when we wake up. I dont think it is anything serious to worry about. It happens once ina blue moon to me. Other than that, my trucks runs like a raped ape.
