Dynomax Headers?

Thinkin about bu ying some Dynomax ceramic coat headers for my 1975 F100 w/360. just wondering if anybody has used these and what they think about them. Also how do they match up and do they install fairly easy. I know my heddmens weren't real fun.

i have dynomax headers going on my 375hp 390, i had to touch up the ports a bit to match my ported heads, but with unported heads, they look like they would match up pretty good, my 390 isnt running yet, my start up date was suppose to be last friday but i ended up haveing to work, and my carb didnt come in till today anyway, if all goes well i should have it running saturday when i know i wont have to work, then ill let you know how installation was and how they work, overall they look like good equal length headers, i guess ill see how they perform.

ON EDIT- i forgot to add mine are going in a 75 f150 2wd, so are trucks are fairly comparable for installation.

Just ordered a set myself for a '74 390. Should be in sometime this week. They're going on a '59 F100 or so I hope. Will let you know how it works out.

I put a pair on my '67 F100 352. Fit pretty well, not too hard to get into place. Starter replacement is going to be an all day job though. Typical.

It's been like 9 months and NO leaks whatsoever. I'm pretty happy with that. Sure beats them old log manifolds and all the constant leaks.

That's great to hear. I can't wait to get them on the truck. I kind of expected problems with the starter. Maybe it will be an excuse to by a mini starter!

If I remember right, I had to kinda put both in at the same time, starter/header. Then bolt them up. A mini starter may eliminate problems. It's just kinda tight down there, especially with that big I beam crossmember in the way.

My 64 Galaxie has no problems with starter replacement. Just loosen and drop out. The headers are alot more open in that application.

Anybody running these with column-shift manual tranny? I'm considering these and the Flowtechs but don't want to get into installation and realize that they hit the linkage.

My '59 still works off the manual column shift but it is applied to an automatic. There are two shift arms that come off the steering shaft. The bottom one is connected to the trans linkage rods for the auto trans. If there are any problems with the header install around the linkage I'll let you know. Expect my headers any day now. If you want pics let me know.

Great; let us know how they come out! I don't need pics of how they fit unless anything weird goes on. Thanks though.

Headers on 390

Well I don't see any problems clearing the linkage, in fact they include a diagram where a small bend may need to be made. I can't get mine to settle in past the pain in the A## cross member under the engine. '74 390 in a '59 f100. Guess it wasn't meant to be in this combo. Mine are going back. Hope you have better luck.

Sorry that it didn't work out for you. Thanks a lot for the feedback on the linkage clearance; that really gives me something to go on.
