Fiberglass
i've got my door down to bare metal. Now i'm ready to fiberglass a big hole. Do i need to primer around the edges that i'm going to be fiberglass or should the fiberglass hit the metal first or does it matter. I'm gonna be putting bondo body filler over the fiberglass and sanding that down to shape the door. Got any tips when using fiberglass?

Apply the fiberglass to the bare metal.
Since I can't picture what you are doing, I'll just pass along the warning. Metal and fiberglass have different expansion rates. That is one of the reasons add-on hood scoops crack after a period of time.
