2000 PSD wont start
For the first time in 43,000 miles my 2000 F-250 diesel wouldn't start. It turns over but doesn't fire at all. I am in Phoenix, so temperature is not a factor. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

it could be the cam position sensor ... A little more information would make it easier. Was the truck doing anything strange before the last time you shut down? Were you working on anything electrical to cause a fuse to go out? Provide as much info as possible - that makes it easier to narrow down the problem.

You might check the batteries first, PSD's are pretty sensitive to low voltage where starting is concerned.
You can tell if the CPS is bad by checking to see if the tach. is moving while the engine is turning over.

Good call on the batteries. There was no indication of the batteries going bad, but they were low enough not to generate the speed to start the truck. Two new batteries and its off and running as before. Thanks for the posts.
