question for Ken on predator

Ken, i ordered a Diablo predator off of motorhaven on friday. i have a 2002 Ford Superduty 4x4 powerstroke with open exhuast and 37" x terrains. the question i have is, i bought the truck used and the previous owner told me he reprogrammed it with a hypertech programmer. will this screw me up when i try and use the predator? i called the closest ford dealer(26 miles) and they said they wanted $100.00 to reflash the computer. thanks for all your help

The truck must be restored to stock programming prior to using the Predator. Make sure he used the Hypertech to do that.

hi Ken, i called him today and he said the hypertech program is still in the truck, he said he no longer has the hypertech programmer to change it back. do i have to go pay $100.00 to get it flashed back to factory? thanks, Tom

Yes, you'll need to flash it back to factory. I hope he didn't sell the Hypertech, its useless to whoever bought it if it wasn't returned to stock.

How do i know if it has a factory flash in it or the hypertech one?

You'll need to give Hypertech a call or compare the power to a known stock truck.

I walked into the Ford garage today with 2 dozen of Krispy Cream donuts and they reflashed it back to stock for nothing, thanks for the help. i called today and Peggy said she will reship the predator in the morning,, thanks for the quick service,,,seeya, Tom
