Column angel.
In my truck it is straight forward 180 with a clamp and some rubber,
the column is moving up and down, not good for the gearbox I guess
Any tips in another way to fix this?
I think the column is in my gallery.
If you would go to search and type in Abe, in his gallery he has a good picture of the proper way the bracket is attached.
The bracket on a 56 is perpendicular (90 deg) to the column and then is attached with a small "-u-" ( a U shape with a ear on each side)piece of steel, in each of the ears there is a hole that matches the main bracket install a bolt and nut in each hole. Also there should be a piece of rubber between column and bracket
It looks like they used a muffler clamp on yours and bent the main bracket.
Hope this helps.

I just
all the extra thing that is put in without thinking about history
