Bye Bye 6.0 hello 7.3......

Well it's done I traded my 2003 6.0 PSD for a used 2002 PSD 7.3..I just had so many problems that I couldn't trust it any more...I was lucky enough to have a dealer that gave me pretty much what I paid for it...The 6.0 forum has been great I learned alot!!! Met some great people...I have some stuff left from my 6.0 (after market stuff)..send me an message if your intrested...Take care guys!! I'll be over in the 7.3 most of the time from here on out, but I'll still check in to see how the 6.0's are doing from time to time!!!
Bob,Tim and jdadamsjr take care....

Hey BagStroke How many miles did you have on your truck. When did you buy it. I am sorry to hear about your problems. Now what are they going to do. Sell your truck to an unsuspecting customer. For a minute I thought you were going to get a dodge. Thank Goodness. Tell us your problems you have had. Sounds like you were fed up.

Those earlier ones did have a lot of problems but some of the later ones do as well. I was thinking of getting one of these one of these days. Ill think Ill hold of and wait awhile. I know of several friends that have one bought after July and havent had any problems yet. Will see. These trucks were built June and beyond.

Sorry to here about your disappointment... Glad to hear you stayed with FORD though.. I really hope (as an early build owner) that Ford hears these forums, their costumers, and "puts their shoulder to the wheel" to address the concerns, and/or maybe offer "extended help" to better serve the faithful owners that bought the early builds.. Congrats on the New Rig!!

Hey bagstroke -
Sorry to hear about your truck problems. It just so happens that my truck has the exact build date as yours. (well, your old one anyways ) My truck was made in 3/03, and I bought it in 8/03 as well. My truck now has almost 25,000 miles on her, and is going strong . . . so far When/if she really does need something MAJOR (IE over $4K ) done to it, I will most likely go Dodg*. Hurts me to say it, but if this one were to break on me, I would not trust another.

OH MAN !?!?!?

I hope you didn't get my 02 buy-back ?!?!
No vehicle is immune to problems... some poo-poo extended warranties, but that's why I still get them!
but.. I have a GREAT April 03 6.0 that has taken me a few HARD miles... and the only thing I've used my warranty for is rentals while in the shop for oil changes and the like...

It was good to have you... come on back and say Hi...
and email me with what you have left over... I still have some of my 7.3L stuff in the garage!

To tell you the truth I miss it but not that much..I don't miss trying to get across an intersection waiting for the turbo to spool up almost getting T-boned..I don't miss being a regular at my Ford service..I don't miss 13.5 MPG and two days at the gas station to fill it.My new /used Powerstroke 2002 with 4 inch lift is getting 20.5 MPG already...Off the line 7.3 will kill the 6.0 but the 6.0 will spank it in 3rd-4th gear.....Jus thope I'm far enough ahead by then I hope I will buy another 6.0..but it will be a while..Hey guys I'm just bustin your ba*#s...:-) Still the 6.0 forum is the best!!!
