OK yall. I have been searching the net for about a week now looking for the specifications and differences between the 1994 7.3 IDI turbo, and the non turbo of the same year. Could any of you fill me in on the some websites to check out or help me out with the info.
I want to know the:
Bore
stroke
compression ratio
HP
Torque
Also, can you take a Non turbo long block and put a the turbo setup on it with out mechanical failure?
Please help out soon!

I don't remember any of the specs on the older 7.3 engines. One of my son-in-laws did own a couple of them. I do know that you can put a turbo on one though if you want to. It is kinda expensive to do it.
>bore and stroke = 4.11x4.18
>comp ratio= 21.5:1
>HP= 185hp@3300rpm
>torque= 338lb.ft@1600rpm

>wt= 860lbs.

Thanks bilder. I am assuming those are the stats fromt the turbo. What are the stats from the non turbo. Mainly i am interested in the compression ratio. basically i am looking at picking up a used motor for my truck that is non turbo and i want to pull the turbo setup of my truck engine and out it on. i just don't want to blow any headgaskets. Any input?
