I have a '97 F150 XLT 4X4 with 16" rims. I was looking at different tires to put on my truck but would like some feed back on the tires I'm looking to buy. What I want is a tire that will be used 90% on the highway, but the 10% offroading I do is on steep bank hills and thick sloppy mud, nothing deep though. Also need it for the winters we have here in Michigan. Currently I have Bridgestone Dueler A/T, I see they now have them in a Revo version. Is there much difference? Also I was looking at these Pirelli Scorpion A/T. Anyone try these or the Nokian WR SUV? I would like to stay with my stock size, not planning on lifting the truck as it already takes alot to get into garage to repair things.
I appreciate the comments. I will look into all suggested brands.
Thanks for the information so far. I will look into these.
Also, I am thinking about getting a second set of rims to install street tires on for when I am not going to go off road. I thinking about going "plus zero" size going up to a set of 275/60's.
if i were you i would definetly check out the dunlop mud rovers, they are cheap and they have awesome reviews, i dont own them yet but i am planning on buying a set pretty darn soon.
