Feul tank capacity

I need help! what is the fel tank capacity for a ford f250 superduty 1999 w/2wheel drive. I put 36 gallons today in my f250 the most it has ever taken since i owned the truck. am I getting bamboozled at the pump???????????/ is it possible to fit 36 in that vehicle?

I'm guessing its a 40 gallon, since that's what my friend's dad's SD is, so he says.

I've got a 2001 Super Duty and that sounds a little high, but then again I don't know how much was in the tank when you filled up. I guess it's possible that it holds 38 gallons, I would ask this in the Super Duty Forum and see what responses you get.

If you have a longbed it's a 38 gallon tank.
