Installing Small Aluminum Steps
A buddy of mine at a car dealership scrounged up a used set of those small aluminum steps for my '94 Ford. He didn't have any hardware with them. Is there any trick on installing these? I just picked up some stainless steel hardware including washers and locknuts. Is there a particuar 'best position' to install these? I was thinking about putting them right in the center of the door way.

I have the Carr Hoop II's on mine. They are a 10" wide steps. Carr recommends mounting the step from the front edge of the seat to the centerline of the step. I think it is a matter of preference where you mount them. The center of the doorway may be too far back. I guess it depends on how tall you are and where your seat is positioned.
