Dropping Support For Custom EEC-4 (1995 and older Fords) Programming

Due to time constraints, Motorhaven is dropping support for custom programming for EEC-4 applications (all 1996 and newer vehicles use EEC-5, some 93-94 use EEC-5 as well). We will only be handling EEC-4 tunes for stock vehicles and EEC-5 for stock & custom. (Intakes and exhausts are considered stock)

I am spending way too much time answering the same questions repeatedly here. Additionally, despite my requests not to, people are still placing customer support questions here (ie, when will it ship, what's the tracking status, etc.). MotorHaven has paid support staff to handle that and I can no longer handle my job and their's as well. Please let my staff do what they are paid to do and call them if you have order status, warranty questions, etc.

Something has to give so...

A. EEC-4 custom tuning is no longer supported (except for existing customer orders)
B. I will reply to all order status type questions with: Contact Motorhaven as requested.
C. I will answer many repeated questions with a link to the numerous threads where its already been answered.
D. If its not a Diablo Sport or Superchips tuning related question I'm going to pass on answering it. I can't support my competitors!

And yes, for the millionth time, we can program a chip for your computer if you give us the computer's PCM code so we can look it up. Without that, and some basic information about the vehicle, you're just causing me extra work!

Back to the grindstone....

So when I get my heads and cam I guess I just throw the Diablo chip in the trash since custom programming won't be available on my 1995 model with EEC-IV?. Sorry to hear you have so much on your plate.

I will continue to support existing EEC-4 customers for the foreseeable future. Besides, even if I didn't, I could refer you to someone who still programs EEC-4 customs. EEC-4 customs take longer, have more questions asked and have more problems (usually because people tend to do overly radical builds on older vehicles and don't want to shell out for dyno time when I recommend it). I spend more time dealing with one EEC-4 custom than I do with 15 EEC-5s.

16 hour days are killing me --- everyone wants a piece of my time. For instance, my email load (which includes sorting through the tons of spam that gets through my filters) is so bad that tonight I dumped the email address I've been using for 7 years. It now gives an error response to use the web site contact page so I'll only get legit contacts.

You gotta do what ya gotta do, I'm just greatful for the time and effort you put into FTE and motorhaven to make this all possoble. Hopefully people will understand, and as for thsoe who don't, they're probably not the kind of people you'd want to be dealing with anyways. Family first.

Can you refer me to a place where I can get my hopfully new Diablo EEC-IV chip dynoed in Southern California. I am building a 347 stroker and figured the best way to get it tuned is using a dyno

Call Diablo Sport. I don't have a list of dealers nationwide.
