What would you Do?? 51-52 Dash problem

51 & 52 have a metal speaker grill which will take care of all but the very bottom and a radio deleat cover will take care of that.Looks like you are missing chrome pice too it helps hold on the grill.Mine was cut up but i Found an un cut up one on E bay Most of them have been cut up.By the way 49 ford car radio goes in the factory hole like its made for it.Dont know if truck radios were just older car radios but it looks factory

Based on where you are at the two choices are to section the dash or smooth it. There will be more work in the section but not a that many more hours. My choice I would weld in the patch and smooth it.
