99 Expy hard starting
My 99 Expedition has about 76k on it & for the past week is a little hard to start. It has to crank longer than normal before it hits. I've heard of fuel pumps going bad & hoping that's not the case. I hoping it may jut be the plugs. If it is the plugs how hard are those to change?

Welcome aboard count. It could be the plugs or it could be a dirty fuel filter or any # of other problems. It might even be the IAC valve (try a search on this). The plugs are very difficult to replace on these trucks, primarily due to the fact that the engine is "set-back" so far and because of the fuel rail design. The book calls for about three hours, but expect to spend a little more time if you've never done before. Most guys say it only takes 1-2 hours the second time around.

Have you changed the fuel filter at the recommended interval? Do you burn fuel with cleaners like Techron from Chevron in it, or do you buy the cheapest you can find? Fuel choice makes a difference in starting and mileage between brands, as does seasonal adjustments of additives in teh fuel.
After the truck has set over night, turn the headlights on, then check the voltage across the posts with a voltmeter. Your description also fits a battery on it's last legs.
