Turbo HUMMMMM???

Took the truck to the dealership today to talk to my mechanic friend. He said that i dont have to take any of my aftermarket products off of the truck. He seems to think either a bearing or the impeller shaft is lose and they will NOT void my warranty even with all the stuff i have done to the truck. I have an appointment Monday and will let you all know what happens. Its pretty weird how 2 different dealerships can feel totally different about aftermarket products.

Turbo HUMMMMM???

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 18-Dec-02 AT 00:19 AM (EST)]Alright gentlemen, truck is in the shop and im waiting for a call from mechanic who is waiting for a call from Navistar to approve or deny the warranty work on my truck. Well im preparing for the worst case scenario, which means i will putting a new turbo on the truck this week. My choices are the Hypermax H2E for $2400, the ATS ball bearing $2000(i think its available), a van turbo $1500, or a LIKE-NEW take off stock turbo from Hypermax for $600, or have Ford do it for who knows how much. I know bullydog has the big woof turbo but its just a glorified stock turbo and i have not heard good things about it. Im going to look into BD-power right now about a turbo. Do any of you guys have any suggestions.
BTW. the cause of a new turbo is unknown, the only thing i know that is the impeller shaft is loose inside the turbo and the bearings are messed up. Any help is appreciated.

Turbo HUMMMMM???

Well hopefully 24PSI will be nothing, i just decided to go with the Hypermax H2 turob since Ford denied my warranty. Just so you guys know too, im not going to talk bad about Fords, they didnt make me put all the aftermarket products on, it was my choice now i have to pay the price. Im going to pick up the turbo right now, luckily i live 45 mins from Hypermax :-) Ill let you all know what i think when its done.
