steering problem?

steering problem?
Today my steering started to make a light rubbing noise which sounded like it was coming from the column. I checked the fluid and level was fine. Its not that bad, yet. It only happens when I turn the 3/4 the way around either way. Any suggestion on what this is will be much appreciated.

Mine is doing it everytime I turn. Seems to be getting worse. It does it more when driving below 15-20mphs. Next week ill be driving my truck to long island from Boston, I cannot have something go wrong in the middle of nowhere. Should I replace the pump? Its a fairly cheap part and doesnt look hard to replace.

Same thing here. I have 85k on a 2000 250, about 2000 miles ago I noticed what sounded like a light rubbing noise during low speed turns. Now it has become a head turning noise on low speeds and a low noise on higher speed turns. I'm new to the forum and came here looking for answers. Thanks
