I have an 02 Explorer with a loose left rear door, every time i hit a bump the door makes a loud bang...also if you push it on the outside and have someone on the inside looking or stick your head through the window opening you can see it moving back and forth...what could cause this door to be loose??? could the door stricker just need to be adjusted?

First determine where it is loose (hinge or striker). That will enable you to zoom in to the problem area.
Then check all the screws and make sure they are tight.
With the door closed, check the alignment with the body panels.
When you open the door, watch to see if it drops. If it drops, lift up on the door and look for slop in the hinges (which I doubt since your door is only 2 years old).
the door doesn't drop when i open it all the screws are tight and the alignment looks correct. As i mentioned if i push on the door and look inside i see the door sliding back and forth, i think the the stricker isn't all the way back therefore closing before it really should, hence the sliding. I dunno i've been taking it back and forth to fords for months now and they keep telling me its something else, the latest is "the truck is hollow" and "it's a suspension noise" i wasn't born yesterday.

If it were merely an out of alignment striker, I don't understand why Ford wouldn't just adjust it. It's not a big job. There would be no reason for them to fight it or blame it on some other issue.
I'm not familar with Explorers but it certainly doesn't seem proper that you should be move the door after it is latched.
all doors will move a slight amount when pushed on take a $ bill and check seal ofdoor frame to weather seal if loose its striker if tight and sound is from door something may have come loose inside door
