Question Random disconnected bits under the hood ???

Hi guys,

whilst working on the truck (1975 f250, 360 4wd) I've seen something which cant be right...

bolted to the firewall there is a little device type thing, it looks like a fuel pressure regulator but its only an inch or so high ???? there is a vacumm hose coming out of it but the end isnt plugged in to anything, also there is a single pin electrical connector which is also unplugged ( I found the other end near the windshield

I have no idea what this thing is or what to do with it. The trucks been running ok as it is now, unplugged, but what is is and what the hell does it do ???

cheers guys

Michael

My guess would be, That the truck has a fuel economy light. Someone probably didnt like it so they disabled it.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh that would make sense, theres an "economy" bit on the dash that Ive never seen alight... but where would the vacumme hose connect to? Do I have a hole in the inlet manifold/carb for it ? In other words, is there a hole somewhere that should be pluged ?

cheers dude,

Michael
