Why the obsession with king coilovers ? I notice alot of folks have these on their "wish list"........Is it looks or function?...........What is it you plan on doing with your rides to choose these ?
It depends on what you're using your truck for. It's the way to go for a crawler or anything where you have extreme articulation. If you're not twisting and contorting your axles then I don't see a point in blowing the $$.
Yes i have, why would you want coilovers when there are better products out there...........
The monster truck boys are a prime example, over 95% of them use K-S Nitro shocks, not because they look cool but because they work. The object of the game is to get more flex, why would you want a mechanical spring in there ?
$600 per shock? Sorry, I think I just crapped my pants. Well maybe that's a small part of why some guys are using coil-overs. And I thought the CO's were pricey.
Well I think you just answered your own question. Holy crap! This is why I drive a ghetto truck and bury it in mud instead of launching a $100K truck over rows of junked cars.
Blower project has to wait until next year. This year is all about suspension. If I have enough $$ to get rolling on it next spring I'll build a 545 stroker and then the blower. Still kicking around nitrous. Then again I have to get a tranny built to handle 800 - 1000 horse which means more $$. Tell ya what, if I win the lotto I'll buy KS Nitros too.
Gawd.....whats wrong with the world.....I agree with buzz. I run my Cougar on juice, but its NA. I don't much see the need in running laughing gas with a supercharger. I am glad the ricer boys like running juice on their turbos though...its pretty funny to watch them blow their intake through their hood.
Hey pro...what year cougar do you have and what are you running in it. My buddy has a 69 and when he gets back from wyotech we are gonna build a cleveland and were thinking about puttin nitrous on it.
