i bought my excursion feb. 18, 2004 its an 04 model with a engine built date of 9/03, how would i know which flash i have?
which flash do you guys think has been the one most of you prefer?
ive had this thing for a almost 2 months now and i already put 3,000 miles on it and had no problems except one time i put bad diesel in it and lost a bit of power.......... after refueling the next time after that it regained the power and this thing has been pinning me into the leather seats at WOT from day one ! I took it off roading and rock crawling about 5 times now and has done pretty damn good with all that torque its got.
I ask this question because i know the day will come when ill have to get an oil change and it might get flashed, this thing runs good the way it is so id like to know which flash its been flashed with thanks sir's
Go to http://flatratetech.com/6literpowers...ultimatebb.cgi and give them your VIN#. Ask them to run and OASIS and tell you what flash it has. They shouldn't flash it for doing an oil change. Either do your own oil change or put a big tag on the OBDII port. It's on the lower edge of the dash just above the accelerator pedal. On the tag put in big red letters "Do not flash" and tell the service writer to put on the work order "Do not recalibrate PCM" without your written permission.
