Can someone tell me how many wires go to the relay?87 F250-460 carbureted.I can see 4 wires and I found a yellow wire that has corroded off and it looks like it also belongs in the connector.Any idea what the yellow wire is for?
TIA Will

Im looking at an 86 book for the 7.5L and I see a black, next to that a red and yellow, next to that Pink and black (two wires) and then a yellow which is on a pin in a different row turned sideways from the others. Hope I made that clear enough.

Pump Relay

The yellow wire is connected to the block that goes into the relay there are two wires that are positioned different than the other three prongs. It goes on the one thats missing . You can buy new crimp on terminals at NAPA auto stores. Ps its hot all the time the key is on so be careful!

I would also replace the relay since it burned off the connector for some reason.

I have been working on a problem with juice to pumps and when I was checking out the pump relay the yellow wire on mine is a constant hot which gives juice to the inertia switch hope this helps you in your repair also I dont think the truck would start without the yellow hookup
