I have on occasion seen a few EB Expeditions out there with special color schemes. I have seen them in either all tan or all black with different wheels. I was wondering if that was a special package and also wondering how rare they are? Anyone here have one of them? I believe the wheels are the same as the ones on some XLT models and also some F150's. I like the look of the wheels and I think they would look great in chrome instead of the brushed finish. Anyone agree?
I agree, on my black 2000 its called Sport Appearance Package, 17" spoke wheels (brushed finish), fender trim is dark gray. Has all the options, but mine doesn't say Eddie Bauer anywhere.
I was thinking about putting those 10 spoke wheels on my EB. I like the look and I like the fact that they are factory wheels. I am assuming they are a direct swap, does anyone know otherwise?
I liked the 10 spoke better when I ordered my EB but they were not yet available. The dealer did, however, say that if I wanted to wait they could be swapped so I'm guessing that they are a direct replacement. I have seen several sets on eBay but have not yet been tempted enough.
The monotone Eddie Bauers are actually conversion units, done by outside companies. Bauers from the factory ALWAYS had beige lower tu-tone, and XLT Sports ALWAYS had gray lower tu-tone. Solid beige was not available on the EBs from the plant.

So are you saying that a conversion company would have to paint the whole car beige since they didn't come that way from the factory or maybe they took an beige XLT and converted it to an EB. Seems like a lot of work. Just curious. Thanks.

wrong, there was a black and a beige EB premium package from the factory in 2002.
