Tapping Sound
We are proud owners of a 2000 Limited X V10 with 40k miles. I have but one question. We love the monster, but lately I have noticed a tapping sound coming from the engine compartment during deceleration. It is not the engine, It runs very smoth and doesnt tick or miss at all. It doesnt do it all the time either. Very Strange. And it only seems to do it around 1500 rpm. When the tapping sound is heard, I can rev the enging and the tapping sound does not get louder or faster its just a dull "tap, tap, tap". If I stop and start again it goes away. Any thoughts?
