Looking for Trailer/GCWR Question:
I don't really know if this is OK to ask on here, but since ia m not trying to sell one, I figure they'll let me get away with it. I am looking for a gooseneck or bumper pull enclosed trailer, at least 20'. Is anyone selling one soon? I have an 82 F350 with 3.73 gears, dually, flatbed, a 400, and a C6. What can i legally tug around? i wonder why they don't put this information on the door? You can send pictures to graveman@ku.edu .

Trailer weight: up to 8,000
GVWR/GCWR: 8,700/14,200, 8,900/14,200, 10,000/14,200

where do you find this information? Ia m looking at a 32' Gn trailer. Apperantly, with the figures you gave me, I ahve been over almost every time I tow. Hell, I've had more than that in the bed before (on accident, the container was full of water). I am considering a swap to 4.10 gears and T5 trans. Possibly even 4.56 gears after seeing wat you gave me. What is the max wieght an 82 ford can be set up to tow? I want to be legal, but can't afford another truck. Thanks for your help.
