Hey guys im lookin at a 1996 F-250 Power stroke 4x4 5 speed fully loaded 145000 Kms well taken care of $17000 Canadian book price $24000 realy nice truck but cant decide should i sell the Ranger and the Yota and get it, our keep what i got.Any problems with these trucks i should know of?Is the 7.3 a good motor in this year? do u think its over kill reason;geting fire wood pulling a 20 foot trailer for moveing cows and a 17 bayliner to the lake.Moveing cows is only about 3-4 days a year geting firewood is only about a weekend maybe two and taking the boat to the lake is about 6-10 times a year so it wont realy be worked that hard at all. do u think i should save a few bucks and buy a F-150 or buy the F-250 even though it may be a bit over kill?
Any help would be great!!
THANKS
I think the price is a bit high as well. Check around before you make an offer, I'm sure you can do better on price.
I don't think it's overkill at all for what you're going to be doing. Once you feel all of that power and see the mileage compared to a gasser, you'll be glad you bought it! After owning my 97, I'll NEVER go back to a gas engine again.
$17000 is in Canadian money i check the buy and sell in my area and they are all bewteen $19000-24000 the reason im geting this truck for 17000 is its paid off and i work for the guy that owns it.Ya i now what u mean about that power it feels like it doubles when the turbo kicks in.So is there any thing i should watch for on this truck?
Nice trucks in Canada bring a premium price. A friend of mine from Vancouver BC just found a really nice truck after looking for a loooooooooooong time. Most used Powerstrokes up there have been used by oil companies or logging outfits, and show a lot of wear.
If you've found a good one, and you're only 17 years old, that's terrific.
