ok, i've got a 75 f-250 with a 360 in my garage, its been sitting for about 6 months. When I took it on the test drive 6 months ago, it ran fine, the whole way up to 70 mph. This past weekend, I changed the spark plugs and cables, distributer cap and rotor, air filter, and changed the oil, and now it idles a lot better. However, when I was changing the oil, when the plug was about halfway out, either water or antifreeze started dripping out, not much, just about 15 drops (it looked green, but I really couldn't tell). I then took it for a test drive and it kept choking out in 3rd and 4th gear at the lower rpms. It's also leaking oil pretty bad from the back of the engine, so could that be causing the choking out? Or bad gas or a dirty fuel filter? And how do i tell if it was antifreeze in the oil?
p.s. I know next to nothing about engines, so please pretend you're talking to an 8 year old.

Oil leaks from the back sometimes come from a) leaking valve cover gasket, b) leaking at the rear of the intake manifold.
Sometimes when a motor sets for awhile, a type of deposit builds up in the carb (I've had this happen before), and it'll run rough. What happens is when you finally get it going the deposits start to break up and cause some problems with running.
Fix: rebuild or buy another.
Another thing is when a truck sits for awhile, some condensation may build up in the tank. You may be have a little water in the gas which could cause it to run rough at lower rpm's with a load on the motor.
What carb do you have?
As far as checking for coolant in the oil, or vice versa, run the motor for a couple of minutes, then check to see if the oil looks like chocolate milk.
Also before you run it, check your coolant to see if there is oil floating on top.
Thanks for the input, and I have a 2bbl motorcraft. There was also a ton of condensation on the truck a bunch of times over the winter, so hopefully that is it. I'll post back once I check the coolant and oil (probably monday).
