reverse lights

I have a 69 f100 with a 3 on the tree and my reverse lights don't work. Where is the switch for them at? Is it in the column or in the transmission? Is there supposed to be a fuse for them because I don't see one in the fuse box.
thanks for any info

If I recall right, the switch is on the column in the engine compartment.

In my '67 the switch is actualy on the transmission, but that may not be the stock location because mine was converted to a floor shifter. Look under your Transmission for any wiring or switch. At least its an easy place to start.

On my '70 with 3 speed manual the switch is in the engine compartment, on the column. Well, I should say was. The switch was long gone before I got the truck so now all I have is the harness with the wires going back to the tailights. Don't know where the rest of it went!
