It's tuesady, thats right! Time for The Sheild, best stuff on TV! Anyone else around here watch it? If not tune into FX at 11PM fpr a real "gritty crime drama"!
I love The Shield, Vic Mackey is my hero, I go to bed at 10 so I tape it and watch it on wed. If you miss it and don't tape it it's replayed on fri at 11 eastern.
i love that show too ( i just found the post due to comp problems but hey) it is getting a bit too predictable tho.. i give it a few weeks and vics lifelong buddy there ( his partner) is gonna get killed off and im betting that the black lady detective who is now in charge takes a BIG TIME fall
Anyone else have any predictions?
I predict that Vic gets his hands on that "Kodack moment" of the Captain and uses it to blackmail him into helping get them out of the money train mess.

I never miss it. I also watch NYPD Blue on Tuesday, so I catch the 11:00PM repeat of The Shield. Great show, but not for kids.
i tried watching that show once and i nearly got threw 5 mintues then i couldnt watch it anymore i just cant stand it. i dont understand the attraction Americans have with these cop shows its just no entertaining for me to watch a stupid fake cop show. this phenomenom is quite unique to American television as the international audience is not obseesed with cops. not trying to start a war but how can people watch that stuff?

According to your profile, you're in Utah. I wasn't aware that Utah was an International location.
Well everyone is entited to their opinion, In MY opinion, I feel that The Sheild is one of the most realistic crime dramas I have ever seen. The characters are all very human (complete with character flaws), no one on the show is too pretty, most everyone on there is pretty average looking (like you might actually run into on the street), there is a lot of believable action (but no over the top), the story lines are well written and far reaching, they pay good attention to continuity, the show deals with a lot of social issues that most other dramas sugar coat or don't even address (gang violence, police coruption, homosexuality and homophobia, drugs, racism, etc...). I'm not trying to knock you but what kind of shows do you like?

I'm not sure how realistic it is, but it does show cops as more than just guys in white hats. There is a dark side to some of them, just as in real life. The show does deal with tough social issues and doesn't try to sugar-coat them, either. I give The Shield
