Ouch! Sore subject. Anyway I appreciate the info. and I'll look into plug types before I buy this time. I don't remember what I put in this last time but it was something cheap 'cause I had a feeling I was going to eat through them again.

Thunderbox you are right last time I tested my plugs (about 2 months ago) I only had 2 working.

I don't know how much they cost you there but I buy the Ford ones (Beru) for around 13.30 each Canadian or about $10.00 US. Not to bad if you want to start when it is a bit cold. Putting the plugs on manual is ok if you can only operate them for a couple of seconds at a time. But if you leave them on once too long they will overheat and burn up. I wonder how many of the people who say they are distorted have the plugs on a manual switch. Mine still has the original controller and it works perfect yet.

Ok Thunderbird,
Will be seeing you on the forum when your controller messes up and your gp tips are sitting on top of the pistons, then we can talk about head gaskets ? ^^

If I were you 88'7 I would hunt around the other posts and read what others have to say about the subject.

your right, thats why you use a "momentary switch" so that you cant leave em on, its a switch you have to hold in the on position...leaving them on accidentally=not good news...six seconds is all it takes.

The link I posted above (kennedy diesel) has glow plugs but as I said before I bought em for a 6.2 Chevy diesel, I dont know about fords, but im sure they can get em if they dont have em.

Good luck to you whichever route you decide to go
