It is only 4. I searched around when I got my truck and was surprised. The ball joints, and most other components that would have grease fittings don't. There are aftermarket companies that sell replacements parts that are greasable. Hope this helps...

Greaseless (low maintenance) parts

I read in a service manual (Haynes) that some of the fittings have a cap that you can remove and replace with a grease fitting (zert).
I went out and crawled under my truck tonight and some have a slightly raised piece (plug) that feels as though it may be shaped to accept some type of socket to remove them.
Has anyone installed grease zerts on their existing joints?

No, but when mine finally go out I'm going to replace them with the greasable joints. I can't complain though because I have 162K on the originals.
