Plug wire placement im retarded
i must be stupid or something but i just put a new cap rotor and plugs on my 429 this should be extremely simple i know but i haven't done it in a while can someone refresh my memory. the intake casting says 15426378 so i set that starting at the #1 on the cap and now it won't start what am i doing wrong? when i took them off the old cap i noticed it was different but didn't remember to remeber where the old ones go...

Make sure the engine is set at the top of #1 Compression stroke not the exhaust stroke.
I always make a mark where the rotor was facing just in case I have to remove the dizzy.
Looking at the Distributor from the front, #1 is usually at the 9-10 o'clock position.
Make sure you set the firing order in a Counter-clockwise direction.
#1 is Front right bank of cylinders as in Right side front to back 1-2-3-4
& then left side of block 5-6-7-8 front to back
Make sure you seperate wires 7-8 in the wire holder above the valve cover.
