clutch/starter probs
ok, finally got the money to fix my truck
86 f-250 6.9 diesel
clutch and starter went out around the same time.
anything else i should do besides just change them out i.e. resurface flywheel?

Yeah I started hearing a slight shuttering sound when I start my truck now after it's been sitting for awhile. I might have to replace my clutch soon. I'm going to try greasing the throwout bearing tomorrow to see if that solves the problem. I'm also putting in a new starter and battery because it's not starting as easily as it used to.

hey dan, also, see if your wires are rotted, because we changed those and the batteries a long time ago, and it helped it alot. and thanks for the info
hopefully im gettin my own truck soon though a 71 f-100 w/ 390 6-inch total lift, 35's and other goodies
