I carried my first load this past weekend and was very impressed. I basically emptied out my garage of all the junk I had been collecting while I was waiting for the new truck. I loaded the bed full and drove to the local dump. After the weigh in they said I had 673 pounds in the bed. The truck did great and the motor did not even feel like it was breathing hard. I know this was a relatively small load but I was very impressed. I am right below a thousand miles and do not have any vibration yet.
Good to hear, as I am impressed with the towing so far on my SCrew 5.4. I'm doing some landscaping around the house and have already towed 3 loads of landscape mix about 15 miles. 3 yards in each load at 2200lbs per yard for a total of 6600lbs. The truck pulled the loads with ease.
Of course I had the OD off and have installed a flowmaster muffler and AirAid filter. I guess those components helped a little as well. My trailer also has hydraulic assist brakes which helps out the 4 wheel disc that these Fords have.
