Exhaust recall???
Does anyone know of a recall for exhaust systems for '97 F-150 with the tail pipe coming out in front of the rear tire, causing rusting and discoloration of the rim and center cap. Supposadly the recall was to move the tail pipe behind the tire. My brother-in-law said had knew someone that their truck was recalled because of this problem. Looked thru recall notices, but did not find anything, but maybe missed it. Just bought truck about 4 months ago so do not have any recall history on it. Does anyone else experience the same problem. Thanks

It wasn't a recall, just a Technical Service Bulletin. If a customer came in with a concern like you are describing, the dealer was allowed to replace the exhaust system with one that had the tailpipe behind the wheel. It was covered under normal warranty.
