Mustang intake on Ford truck

Just wondering if a 5.0 Mustang upper and lower EFI intake could work on a 5.0 truck. It looks like the throttle linkage is long enough. I would like to if power would be lost and Id say torque would be effected in the lower Rpm range. The lightning pickups use a GT40 style lower but the upper has the throttlebody location towards the driver side. Is it the same deal as the mustang? I would like to use the lightning intakes but they are for the 351. So using the mustang intakes seams more sensible if it will work. Thanks

yes you can use the mustang intake but you would loose a little tork on the bottom end,
the truck intake has longer runners to increase the low end. DW

The best combo would be the edelbrock efi truck lower and the 5.0 performer efi upper.

Thanks, I have looked at the eddelbrock intakes for the truck but, I wanted to ask because there are so many performance engine parts for the mustangs and hardly any for the truck. Speaking specifically of better throttle boddies, performance intakes, etc. They need to let us truck guys in on the EFI performance.

I do belive you can make for air flow with the tb of a truck and its manifold. Have you seen most aftermarket mustang intakes, they look like the trucks on the bottom end. I have also heard of racers useing truck manifolds instead of the mustang cause of the added flow. Maybe look at a edelbrock efi manifold for the truck and a bigger tb. Or just a bigger tb if your looking for a little more power.
