Transmission weak link?

I have a 2001 F-250 7.3 PSD with auto transmission. Is the transmission the weak link on this truck?

I am towing a 29' 5th wheel (Wildcat 29 BHBP) with my F-250 with stock everything including transmission cooler. Do I need to add a larger trans cooler or a temp. gauge?

Any help would be appreciated.

Yes I would have to say the trans is the weak link, However it can be built to handle Pretty much anything you want to throw at it. And yes you need a Good Cooler and If I was pulling what your Pulling I would have a Trans Gauge and a Pyrometer for sure.

Barney,

Something else I would look into is a larger transmission pan. It runs about 90.00. Very easy to install. I would get it with the trans temp gauge so you only have to drill one pan.
