getting the shine back

The box on my truck had been repainted but the cab wasn't. The cab now looks dull and doesn't match the box. Will just waxing it make it shine or will I have to do something else? Any help is appreciated.

You could just muddy up the whole truck and then it would match :;. Maybe rubbing compound--don't they make it in different strengths? Maybe a "lite" grade? My old pinto looked like a new car after a going over- it hadn't been washed in over five years when I got it.
