I guess now I am supposed to ask: Ok, what is the problem?, what year truck?, what brand cd changer?, did it ever work or is it a new install that never worked? Help us out here a little bit.

Sorry about that. I have a 2001 Ford Expedition. When I try to play a CD, the display reads "EMPTY MAG". I'm not sure what type of player it is since it is a stock system.

Well, I can't help you buy maybe someone else will be able to.

If it comes to the point of sending it back to a ford repair center, I think I would go ahead and take it apart, look it over for anything obvious, and then put it back together and try it.

I wonder what the repair cost would be versus an aftermarket new changer? Might be close.
