bad clutch????
i know basically nothing about trannys and clutches so any help is appreciated. i bought a 86 f150 inline 6. the guy told me clutch was new but seemed very low to floor. the shifting has become extremely hard and now its fully engaged when started up. i changed the slave cylinder with little help. how can i tell if its clutch vs tranny. i can shift throuhg the gears when not running, otherwise its always engaged. how much to fix?

There should be an adjustment at the pedal and at the trans all you have to do is adjust the thing to bring the pedel up.
FYI
The clutch in a mustang is self adjusting all you have to do is lift up on the pedel with your foot to cause it to adjust. Im not sure if trucks are the same but give it a try.
