Ford Keyless Remote Battery Replacement

Has anyone ever tried to change the battery in a late model Ford keyless entry remote? I have a 2002 Windstar that has two remotes, one of which has stopped working. I have reprogrammed them and one responded like it was supposed to, but the other did nothing. I don't see a screw on the remote, is there a way to get it open?

yes, all you need is a small straight blade or knife, there is a seam line,on the sides, split it apart there, once opened replace the batteries[hearing aid type] and snap back together, hope this helps

Its really easy, I did it with one of my remotes. You don't even have to reprogram after you do it. I always hustle when I change them just to be on the safe side.
